The Auckland finalists of the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Awards 2010 were announced last night in typical hairdresser style at the downtown Union Fish Building, Britomart, Auckland.

Stylists and those in the industry were treated to a delightful evening of drinks and canapés while those who entered waited in anticipation for the final announcements.

From the look of the national entries displayed around the room the finals will be pretty tough. The annual Trend Vision competition will see 18 teams compete at the live national finals in Auckland on 13 September 2010 to win either the Colour or Young Talent Award.

Finalist Kelly Latu said “We’re really excited about the finals! It’s perfect timing for us as we’re launching a new store soon and Trend Vision lifts the profile of not only stylists but their salons too.”

From here the gold winners of each award will fly to Paris to represent New Zealand at the live international final on 7 November 2010; an awesome experience for all.

A People’s Choice award is also being run for both the Young Talent and Colour categories. Go to www.wellatrendvisionpeopleschoicewards.com to vote for your choice from 8 July to 31 August 2010.
