Looking for organic botanicals in a hair product with no nasties? Wanting to retain your expensive hair colour and not wash it out? And most of all, looking to smooth out the frizz?

Here’s a new product that has it all: 100% began ingredients with naturally derived ingredients; check, antifade complex to keep your hair colour longer; check, and a smothing formula to beat the frizz; check.

Our anti-fade fave, Pureology, has launched a new smooth collection for colour-treated hair.

You don’t have to resort to this for super smooth hair without lots of chemicals…

Pureology range is a hit with the eco-conscious; 100% vegan, packaging made largely from post-recycled materials, and a zero-sulphate shampoo and colour care claim they are so proud of all salons provide a money back guarantee on results.

Colour treating your hair as we all know, does damage it its structure but what can you do? SuperSmooth has smoothing oils of camellia, sesame and organic shea butter, with an organic botanical of geranium for condition and shine.

It’s ThermalAntiFadeComplex gives heat styling protection and maximises colour retention. It contains natural sugars to create a heat-damage barrier and antioxidants and sunscreens to maximise colour retention while advanced hydrating micro-emulsion technology contains tiny molecules that penetrate the hair shaft to strengthen hair condition.

Thread tried…

Pureology SuperSmooth Smoothing Cream ($48.00) and Smoothing Elixir ($48.00) both of which are applied to damp hair and left in and styled. I got a fairly smooth result from the Smoothing Cream but still needed to use straighteners to get hair sleek. It wasn’t enough on its own to control frizz – one does need to use thermal appliances as it is designed to be used in conjunction with them as as such it would be a good blow wave cream. I really like the fragrance of the elixir, and the light oil felt lovely to apply betwen palms and smooth over hair. The elixir is designed to replenish hair and my hair felt silky. This was my favourite.

Also in the SuperSmooth range…

Use Pureology SuperSmooth Shampoo ($40.00) to cleanse and smooth unruly hair without stripping away moisture, and follow with Pureology SuperSmooth Conditioner ($48.00) and leave for 2-3 minutes before rinsing to detangle and replenish unruly hair and intensify shine.

Pureology SuperSmooth Relaxing Serum ($48.00) controls fly-aways with a lightweight serum to be used on damp hair before you blow dry, intensifying natural shine and protecting colour vibrancy.
Pureology SuperSmooth Relaxing Hair Masque ($60.00) is used after shampooing. Leave this masque on for 2-5 minutes to nourish and dramatically subdue frizz and dry, unruly volume.
