The stylists presented three brunettes and two blondes who had Illumina makeovers and we were invited to feel the models’ hair and ask them about their experience. The Red 11 Agency models all said their hair felt softer and shinier and less like straw!
"Illumina is simply magical! It is the colour the hairdressing industry has only imagined until now. It breathes light, shine and luminous colour into the hair while providing an amazing natural look. My clients can’t believe the results,” says Shar Sutherland Todd, Wella Professionals NZ Colour Ambassador and Creative Director of Sutherland Todd Hairdressing, Christchurch.

How does it add more light to hair? Micro-particles remove the tiny metals left on the hair from water residue and reduce hair cuticle damage. Smooth hair cuticles mean light passes through more easily, giving you a radiant and luminous, rather than dull, haircolour.
Illumina, which launches on 1st March 2013, gives shine and illumination to global colour, rather than a saturated look of traditional hair colours. It launches with twenty shades across warm, cool and neutral palettes.
Illumina also has a clear glossing treatment if you want to add gloss but not change your colour, which one brunette model -pictured below left – had done. I’m headed in to French Revolver salon in Wellesley Street to have a glossing done myself today. Prepare to shine!
Ask for Illumina at your Wella salon from 1st March 2013.
