It’s going to be a beautiful summer ahead, if the Farmers Beauty Banquet is anything to go by. Farmers is the perfect place to shop for beauty, as it has branches all over New Zealand, the best range or the most amazing brands at all budgets, and trained professionals instore.
Thread joined beauty media to view the top beauty brands at the Farmers Beauty Showcase on Wednesday 28th August, upstairs at Ponsonby Central, laid out to stunning effect on a banqueting table.
And they certainly were good enough to eat, with old favourites releasing new treats – and some brand new tastes we haven’t had on our shores before.
There were also new releases from their biggest selling brands – Shiseido, Clarins and Elizabeth Arden, from cheaper brands such as Natio and ChiChi, and much-loved brands such as Burt’s Bees, Dr. Hauschka, and The Body Shop. From New Zealand, there was new skincare from Trilogy.
Some of the brands we’re really excited about include:
· Art Deco, with eyeshadows you pick and choose and slot into the magnetic compacts.
· Chichi, a Farmers exclusive brand, with a great price point and exciting colour palette.
· Gellack – the DIY shellack.
· New fragrances are coming to store from One Direction’s Our Moment, Honey by Marc Jacobs, Rogue by Rihanna, Prada Candy, KENZO Flower in the Air, Elizabeth Arden Untold, Taylor by Taylor Swift, and Estee Lauder Modern Muse.
· Bobbi Brown’s availability at Farmers is also really exciting.
There were live demonstrations of the new VS Curl Secret curling tongs on a model by stylists, and I even had my makeup done in the new Yves Saint Laurent colours by a Mobile Beauty pro artist. Check out all my photos, below.
