Talk to the mouth.
Intensely-coloured, glossy lips do seek attention.
Lips are taking centre stage this Autumn in Clarins’ new Rouge Prodige collection.
Women want it all; a long-lasting finish that is actually comfortable to wear and doesn’t dry up your pout so much even the frog won’t kiss the princess.
Clarins are bringing this together in new formulations that give true-hold lipstick with a high performance formula that has a long-lasting result, but with high shine and comfort, too. This new generation polymer is composed of transparent molecules which trap colour pigments and adhere to the lip surface for a long time.
Plant oils leave a transparent film on the surface of the lip like a top coat, giving high shine.
Pictured left, the model wears Palette Prodige face and blush powder on the skin, with Instant Blush ($60). On the eyes she wears Kohl Eye Pencil No.1 Extreme Black ($45) and Wonder Perfect Mascara No.1 Wonder black.
And on the star attraction – the lips – is Rouge Prodige no.121 Red prodige ($53).
Rouge Prodige comes in three colour families: pinks to plums, corals to reds and beiges to browns, designed by Clarins make-up artists to meet the needs of women with all skin tones. Thread tried the gorgeous Blackberry one, pictured below left, which is matte but some have more of a shimmer to them.
The Palette Prodige face and blush powder compact ($84) has four really pretty face shades (a pale pink, a large matte beige, a shimmery bronze and a coral shimmer) to give a healthy glow.
The Rouge Prodige Autumn make-up collection is available from Clarins counters from 7th March.
