Thread went backstage at New Zealand Fashion Week 2012 to view the make-up for the Cybele AW13 collection, and hear from Key Artist Olivia Russell as she demonstrated the look on model Lauren Taylor.
"It has a slightly ‘space look’" said Olivia Russell.
"There’s a metallic silver highlight on lids, and blacktrack and Night Divine Eyeshadow on a blown out eye."
"Skin is really fresh and metallics are used as highlights as opposed to the whole eye. Metallics in the centre of the eye really open it up for evening."
For women at home drawing upon this look, the smokey eye will always be a popular choice.
