Benefit cosmetics has arrived in New Zealand!

The gorgeous makeup brand arrives today in JR/Dutyfree at Auckland Airport, then next month at Smith & Caughey. The San Fransisco brand has 41 branches in Australia – forty of which are in Myer department stores – and this will be its first foray into New Zealand. Good news – it will be cheaper here at JR/Duty Free than at Myer.

We went to the fun and lively launch at Hotel de Brett on Wednesday 8th May. How many beauty launches do you think we go to with managers dressed in scrubs as doctors, and consultants in Sherlock Holmes outfits? Not many, if any. Benefit definitely has a fun corporate culture and different way of looking at things- with a healthy dose of humour, and sex-appeal in its pin-up girl packaging.

JR/Duty Free will also have trained makeup artists doing the full Brow Bar services as well as selling makeup products. A brow arch wax is $25, brow tint $16, and brow arch tweeze is $30. Some of the famous and much-loved products include They’re Real mascara ($36), The POREfessional primer ($47), Bene-tint lip and cheek stain ($47) and Fake-Up concealer ($37.)

Here are some highlights in photos from the launch…
