We met Joey Brown, OPI’s International Spokesperson over from California, who brought us up to speed with the latest in nail trends. Apparently "colour is hot" with strong colours taking the lead now.
Thus, reds are a strong suit in the Swiss Collection – echoing of course the red cross Swiss flag of a million pocket knives – with four shades of red from pink-red to ruby-red.
Another highlight is the cool metallic shades of Glitzerland (gold) and Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous (pewter). I also really like the cool lilac shade: The Color To Watch.
Shape-wise, and for the brave and, I think, non-computer users, the stiletto nail is huge. And not just for the very young. Fergie had OPI do her and her dancers’ nails last week with the long pointy stiletto talons sharp as, well, a Swiss army knife.
Below: Anya and Megan with our new OPI Swiss Collection manis. Anya wears burgundy lacquer in William Tell Me About OPI, and Megan wears the greeny blue lacquer Ski Teal We Drop.
