A week ago I got a lovely little black gift bag full of the latest Maybelline New York range, Fit Me, and have worn it every day since!

I got to sample the Dream Lumi Touch Concealer ($19.99), Fit Me Foundation ($22.99), Powder ($19.99), Blush ($19.99), Bronzer ($19.99), and ‘The Falsies’ Mascara ($23.99).

Being a busy Mum, putting make-up on in the mornings while trying to get kids out the door, isn’t a priority, but this took no time at all and gave a very natural look.

The concealer and the foundation are super easy to apply and don’t clog up or look caked giving great coverage while being subtle.

Much to my surprise, my 2 year old also discovered how easy it was to apply, having sampled them behind my back!

The powder was easy to use and has a pad that fits inside the compact along with a mirror, but this one made my face too pale.

I’m not usually a fan of blusher (a throwback to the 80’s) but this was great, very natural and I didn’t end up with big rosy checks. The bronzer however worked more like the blusher than a bronzer, it didn’t give overall coverage unless you plastered it on, this may be more to do with the small brush rather than the product itself.

Finally ‘The Falsies’ mascara. It has a curved brush, which I hadn’t used before, and it definitely makes it easier to apply without clumping. I usually have itchy eyes by the end of the day when I wear mascara, however with this one I didn’t. It doesn’t give you ‘falsies’ as it implies; it does appear to lengthen, but only subtly darkened my lashes.

Get Fit is available from late July.
