For those who wonder what it’s like for beauty editors at make-up launches, this was the perfect experience.
Beauty Goss held its first Beauty Lounge, in association with Clinique, on Thursday 4 August at Studio Lumiere in Parnell, for about 4 dozen women to have a glass of wine and nibbles and hear about the latest spring trends.
For a small ticket price of $25, women heard from Clinique about how to wear colours for Spring/Summer, got the inside knowledge on skincare products, and watched live make-up demos on two models, all over a drop of Mission Estate and San Pelligrino and some delicious chicken sandwiches.
Later in the evening, guests could get their faces retouched by make-up artists and ask one-on-one questions.
And, as at every good beauty launch, there were goody bags. Silver totes contained a cute floral toilet bag with products from Clinique, a blowdry voucher from Newmarket salon Hamilton Brooks, a pair of Elle MacPherson briefs, and even some Whittakers chocolate.
Tamsin Marshall of Beauty Goss hosted the informative evening.
