"If you are putting the eyes, you don’t put too much on the mouth" says Carine Roitfeld, former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris and complete style icon – and now, M.A.C collaborator.

Carine Roitfeld, now Editor in Chief of CR Fashion-Book, former fashion model, and writer, is renowned for her personal style and her make-up look is ALL eyes; a smoky eye and nothing bright on the lips.

The range includes a Full Face Kit – a compact containing four eyeshadows and a cremeblend blush – as well as eyebrows in brunette, kohl power eyepencil, Fluidline, 49 Lash and two mascaras.

The only lipstick is a sheer translucent nude called Tropical Mist. To perfect the face there is Face and Body Foundation and Mineralize Concealer. She also includes accessories of brushes and star stickers for the cheeks she calls "good luck stars" like a beauty spot.

The visual campaign pictured above left was shot by Mario Sorrenti with Carinne looking like she’s just woken up – albeit sexily – in artfully smudged night time make-up and a black lace slip. Carine Roitfeld maintains women look best waking up in their make-up the morning after, when "you look tired, but tired sexy.”

The eyes have it. Get yours from 1st October 2012 in New Zealand at select locations for six weeks; at M.A.C Britomart and Smith & Caugheys.
