M.A.C Cosmetics held the party of the week, Hit the Pavement, at Australis House in Auckland’s Britomart on Thursday 25th October with street food and margaritas amongst bodypainted living statues…

M.A.C Cosmetics held the party of the week, Hit the Pavement, at Australis House in Britomart on Thursday 25th October with street food and margaritas amongst bodypainted living statues.

Hit the Pavement brings together street art, actors, and senior make-up artists in an event that has been held in cities around the world, including Montreal and New York, held outside amongst the public so people could be entertained and interact with the living art. Here in New Zealand, the party was an invitation-only event for M.A.C Pro members, friends of M.A.C from the music and fashion worlds.

The hot topic of conversation was the body-painted actors and which one was your favourite of the bunch; I am torn between the red tourist couple and the two men on the park bench feeding birds. They kept moving every few minutes and freezing in that pose.

To complement the street theme, colourful margaritas were served, along with some amazing Mexican food from gaily-painted wooden huts around the room.
