If Grace Kelly was walking around Hollywood today doing lunch, she would without a doubt be pulling out this rose gold bow clasp compact from the M.A.C collection, ‘Making Pretty’ to make herself prettier.
Lovers of vintage and old fashioned glam of yesteryear will adore this palest pink collection with brushes, lipsticks in 3N pastel pink and Runaway Red, an iridescent powder in Silver Dusk, Mystery Powder in light medium, medium plus and dark secret, and a brush set with 282 All over eye shader and 136 face powder brush.
It’s all about the face and the lips – there are no eyes in this collection – and it is made to be seen. After all, who takes their eyeshadow out to lunch? But a girl takes her lipstick out of her purse – and can powder her nose very classily with this set.
The highlight of the collection is the golden bow, and the faux shagreen (sharkskin-look) leather cases, which do bring the pricepoints up somewhat over regular M.A.C. The lipstick has a thin seam along the casing; very elegant.
So, MAC yourself pretty with ‘Making Pretty’. It’s available for a limited time from selected M.A.C locations from February 2013. Mystery Powder retails for $150, lipstick $62, iridescent powder $150, and brush set $214.
