If you excuse the pun, many women don’t feel truly polished until their nails are done.

For all the nail addicts out there, here are some of the newest nail polishes and lacquers from OPI, Orly and Color Gloss.

ORLY has released its Birds of a Feather collection with six plumage-hued nail lacquers in colours volucrine.

There’s Sea Gurl, a gunmetal grey, Fowl Play, a deep sparkling purple, Lucky Duck, a teal-green creme, Peachy Parrot in coral shimmer, Nite Owl beige, and Sweet Peacock in metallic blue.

Orly is available at Farmers, selected pharmacies and at nail salons.

OPI has added four new pastel shades, Femme du Cirque, to their SoftShades collection; three pink shades and one sheer glitter coat to wear by itself or layer over the others.

Femme du Cirque by OPI ($24.90) includes the circus- themed names In the Spot-Light Pink, Step Right Up!, So Many Clowns, So Little Time, and I Juggle…Men.

From pastels…to punk. OPI Shatter has released bright shades to crackle all over your painted nails. Blue, red, turquoise, navy and white are the latest Shatter lacquers ($24.90) and are available now.

And for a salon-only mani, Magic Tan and Beauty in Remuera has the Color Gloss range which is a long-lasting and hard-wearing brand applied in nail and beauty salons only. "We have 28 new non-chip Color Gloss colours which means now a total of 66 to choose from" says owner Petrina Martin.
