Birthdays are fun. Until you’re about 30. Then you have to make a number of decisions; shall I ‘act my age’ or ‘age gracefully’ or ‘defy my age’?
Personally I’m going to try and put off acting my age for as long as possible before buying any low-heeled pumps and mid-calf navy blue skirts. And whilst I’ve never had Botox, the things I can do to help my skin look youthful seem to get better and better with age – just like me – I hope.
So, appropriately, I am reviewing this new anti ageing make-up the day before my birthday.
Tomorrow is my birthday and I’ll be celebrating getting another year older wearing – ironically – this anti-ageing make-up.
Dr.LeWinn’s Skin Perfect is formulated to give you just that, perfect skin, for women concerned about signs of skin ageing. If you’re a teenager, stop reading and go back to your tinted moisturiser and BB cream. This is the good stuff.
The three key ingredients it uses for a smooth look are stem cells from Alpine Rose to stimulate skin, peptide Matrixyl Synthe’6 to enhance collagen, and Tourmaline to boost radiance.
Below: the steps in the new Perfect Skin range. First up, Dr. LeWinn’s Skin Perfect Anti-Ageing Primer $35.90
Dr. LeWinn’s Skin Perfect Anti-Ageing Foundation $45.90 comes in six shades. I found the Latte shade was perfect and gave excellent coverage amd a creamy matte (non-shine) finish.
Dr. LeWinn’s Skin Perfect Anti-Ageing Pressed Powder Compact is also $45.90 and comes in two shades – pink beige and honey beige. The compact includes a sponge and a mirror.
Dr. LeWinn’s Skin Perfect Anti-Ageing Illuminiser $29.90 was my favourite and gave a nice highlighter effect but not sparkly shimmer to brow and cheekbones.
Dr. LeWinn’s Skin Perfect Anti-Ageing Concealer $25.90 also comes in two shades of honey beige and pink beige and was a lovely texture on the skin.
Dr. LeWinn’s Skin Perfect Anti-Ageing range is available from July 2012 from selected pharmacies and Farmers stores throughout New Zealand.
