"Weather was terrible on Friday – it just kept raining and raining!

The music was amazing.

It was the first time I saw Avalanche City and they blew me away. I have heard their music on C4 but they were better live.

You can download their album for a donation on their website www.avalanchecity.com.

Read our review by Theo Sangster of Avalanche City’s album on Thread.co.nz here and in his pick of the top albums of 2010 here.

Below: Avalanche City – my new favourites.

Below: Elemenop was just awesome. Never thought I would see them live but now I have! I hope they come back next year.

Below: Late Eighties Mercedes were just a lot of fun.

We tried to get photos of people but it was really hard because of the rain. Everyone seemed to have a good time anyway!

Below: Madz wears striped vest from Glassons, yellow tee-shirt from Cybele, camo shorts from army surplus in K Rd, socks from Africa and Doc Marten’s. Bella Hannah (centre) is wearing a dress from Topshop, denim jacket from an op shop and white Converse. Cal Doughan-Wanhill (right) wears a Misery sweatshirt and a tee-shirt from Jay Jays.
