New Zealand Fashion Week 2013 came to a close with a glorious display of eclectic styles.
Heading backstage on Saturday 7th September to the all AOK- All On K’Road show, designers Adrian Hailwood, Maaike, Jimmy D and Lela Jacobs fitted models in an fashionable mix of silhouettes. Ready for their return to the runway, models wore heavily stained lips, with flashes of tousled, silver hair.
Ghostly confidence was displayed at the pre-show walk through as the models were co-ordinated by the show runners.
Jetsetbohemian put a vintage twist on their offerings, as new and old trends were placed on the models. Draped in heavy Indian-inspired jewels with elongated nails, the girls entertained the camera with fun poses as they chilled backstage.
Rolling on to Sunday, the lazy were left in bed whilst the show went on. This time the backstage action was captured on the infamous Karangahape Road (K’Rd). NZ Fashion Week represented its more indie side as models were transformed into dystopian characters sporting bright hair and metallic brows. 203H Boutique, Dmonic Intent and Dishonest Want were a treat for those into the alternative scene. Alexander Balfour wooed with his sleek yet uniquely British menswear range in the pop-up shop over at suite 108. The collection inspiring an impromptu photo-shoot on site.
