The Weddings Show at NZ Fashion Week brought us a totally mixed bunch of styles for all brides to be, a few really nice options of suits for the grooms, and an interesting palette for the bridal party, particularly from Modes.

Some highlights included:

Vinka creates an intricate mix of woven fabrics to bring a unique texture to her collection. She has created movent in her skirts by layering, gathering & draping her fabrics in such a way that they cascade beautifuly down the runway.

A La Robe was Thread.co.nz’s favourite. Elizabeth used textured, crinkled and milky fabric… using a palette from soft white, cream vanlla, light grey, and ending with a black stunner.

Zimmerman used ‘flying feathers’ headpieces. The collection had a mix of styles, from a shimmering stylized dress, to a perfectly draped strapless dress, and a "Royal" embroidered longsleeve dress.

Anna Schimmel (pictured top left) had movement on her dresses, captured by the use of ‘airy trails.’ Loved her ruffle multilayer collar.

Sera Lilly created a clever and unique use of fabric to give the shape of flowers on the skirt of the gown. Her collection shows us options ranging from pure white to cream capuccino.

I’m sure all brides that are on the hunt for their special dress will feel they can identify with one of these dresses, and find their perfect match from any of these amazing designers.
