Cybèle, Company of Strangers, NYNE and Kowtow came together to present their Spring Summer 13/14 collections on the last day of NZ Fashion Weekend 2013, and Larry Paing shot it for Thread…
Looking at the collections backstage, it’s interesting to see the relationship amongst the minimalistic, layered labels – was it intentional? Cybèle sent off their sheer layered dresses with muted geometrical prints to kick off the show, followed by Company of Strangers’ neon georgette dresses and jackets. The show continued with the all-white collections by NYNE and Kowtow. I loved the drop waist dress by NYNE, and thought Kowtow’s crisp t-shirts with splashes of orange dashed print were brilliant as well. The front hoods by Kowtow will help you look like a ninja in the summertime and the Veronica B-designed silver chokers and toe shoes are worth a mention too (have I mentioned ninja?)
