The new collection from Teresa Hodges’ BLAK and BLAK LUXE is called Marchen. It is set in a dark and magic BLAK fairytale.

Chris Lorimer from Ciel PR has styled the show beautifully with handmade crowns fashioned from twigs.

Some of the girls came out with their hair draped over and caught up in the crowns.

With M.A.C. styling the make up and shoes supplied by Chaos and Harmony, it was an elegant, gothic collection that wowed FACEHUNTER blogger Yvan Rodic.

Thread loved the beautiful lace sleeves, and the spiderweb detail on the long red velvet dress.

The black and white print by Liz Wilson featuring scarab beetles, roes and thorns is also a stand out.

A real show-stopper was the hair and crowns that had people talking after the show had finished.

“I love the hair texture and wrapped, knotted half up/half down ‘turban-esque’ feel of this look. It works so well with the BLAK collection, which is based around the Grimm’s Brothers fairytales – supernatural, romantic, spooky, whimsical.” says Luana Coscia, Joico Hair Director for BLAK LUXE.

The leopard print in violet was divine. With splashes of ruby, midnight blue, dark green, garnet and amber, this is never simply a ‘blak’ collection.

Even a simple white shirt is given the BLAK treatment and morphs into a slim silhouetted bibbed shirt dress to die for.

The fitted black lace dress with the gossamer tail was a little bit vampy and elegant as well.

It is a very assured collection and has a real sense of gothic glamour about it. This dark fairytale is no bedtime story.
