Red, yellow, lavender and pink; there was so much amazingly coloured hair on and off the catwalks this near at New Zealand Fashion Week; it’s really a key trend.
Here are some of the stand-out heads we saw…
Below: Illustrator and blogger Kelly Thompson is an expat now living in Melbourne, where Rachael Winter colours her hair.
Kelly says having yellow hair makes it easy to get dressed as you’re halfway there when your hair already looks like this; you can get away with not such an exciting outfit. We don’t think that’s ever a problem as she looked stunning all week long.
Here, Kelly wears Lonely Hearts leather jacket, Julian Danger blouse, Asos skirt, and vintage necklaces.
Below: Lavender-locked Emily Fang of Sydney-based blog Little Black Book.
Giana Patel – does her hair herself using Manic Panic’s Voodoo Blue.
Sacha Young, below, writes for Coup de Main blog. Her hair is by Danny Pato at d&m salon Ponsonby. She wears a dress she made herself with an H&M jacket.
Below centre: Phlossy Roxx, a burlesque performer, and blogger at MissPhloss.com, is sponsored by Fudge with hair by Live & Let Dye. She wears Stolen Girlfriends dress and Black Milk tights.
Below left: Aych McArdle’s hair is by Jasmine at toni & Guy on High St Auckland.
Below: Models in sea punk hair at Riddle Me This at NZ Fashion Week. Designer Liz Turner said they used a $2 Shop wash out hair stain – that she tested first!
