COOP by Trelise Cooper Winter NZFW

COOP is very young and fun, and the faux fur tops and shorts pronounced the youthful winter look very distinctively to add colour to a cold New Zealand Winter…

COOP by Trelise Cooper’s third fashion week outing was a concoction of lacquered plastic brights, bold bright prints and shimmery feminine pieces.

As described by the label itself, the COOP girl for Winter 2014 “wears silk with sneakers, orders oysters for breakfast, walks in the rain, and knows that last night’s blowdry looks even better in the morning”. From the get-go, this collection was all about embracing idiosyncrasies and celebrating individualism; a young woman that was all about getting noticed. The pieces were also about getting noticed in your own way. I probably would not wear the vinyl skirts but the rest of the collection was definitely wearable, eye-catching and relatable to most.

Fashion is about having fun and it is great to see a designer who is able to toy with a sense of humour and produce creations which pay tribute to the avant-garde. COOP
merged technology with directional designs presenting a fresh and innovative collection. COOP had a plethora of artful collision of colour, texture and form, and layers of metallic, mesh and beading making for gorgeous eye-candy. This range is very young and fun, and the faux fur tops and shorts pronounced the youthful winter look very distinctively. COOP’s Winter 2014 collection will definitely add colour and shimmer to a cold New Zealand Winter.
