New Zealand Fashion Week is go!
Here are some highlights from Day One of NZFW 2012 including RUBY, Liam, COOP, Cybele, Company of Strangers, Hailwood, Juliette Hogan and Zambesi…
My day started off very well indeed with a blowdry at Blaze salon on Broadway Newmarket with Kirsty.
Another highlight of today – I had a M.A.C make-up done by Kate. I don’t want to wash off my M.A.C make-up! I may just laminate my face instead, and look great again tomorrow. In addition to this, I got a M.A.C locker. No longer will I need chiropraction lugging my laptop and haul around.

Upon arriving at the Viaduct Events Centre and securing a carpark safe from the clutches of Auckland Council carparking wardens (my favourite place is the Silo Park carpark by the Fish Markets, but don’t tell everyone) we legged it in pouring rain to the venue.
We headed straight backstage to be hosted by the lovely Katie of M.A.C Cosmetics, to shoot the looks for each designer and interview each key make-up artist on their look.

Tracey Dalton, Rachel Smalley & Kate Rodger of TV3’s Front Row sit, well, in the front row, next to me at Cybele.
Tuesday 2.30pm COOP
Amanda Midgley, Jaime Ridge and Sally Ridge.
Tuesday 3.30pm Company of Strangers
I just loved all the colour pops of orange and fuschia mixed with black, at Company of Strangers.
Yellow bags inspired by artist Keith Haring, at Company of Strangers.

Tuesday 5.30pm Hailwood
Tuesday 7.00pm Juliette Hogan
Tuesday 8.00 Zambesi
A throng of models walk the finale at Zambesi, like a very well-dressed (and non-zombie) ‘Thriller’ moment.
The colourful Aych McArdle, Phlossy Roxx and Sacha Young pose for my upcoming piece on coloured hair.
What I wore: Cybele trousers, twenty-seven names jacket, Boohoo shoes, Saben bag.
