Neverblack showed their winter collection in an original installation rather than the usual catwalk show, with models wearing AW12 at their New Zealand Fashion Week event on Thursday 1 September.

The latest evening show of the week, Neverblack overcame the setback of a change of venue and chose to provide a different kind of fashion experience, instead hosting an off-site presentation incorporating a film of the collection alongside giant still images and installed live models.

Chris Lorimer says the multimedia event was designed to show the label’s innovation and fashion direction in a more personal atmosphere – and let guests get up close to the clothes and really take the time to look at them.

The look for Neverblack was romantic and whimsical with a touch of grunge.

Thus, the make-up emphasis was on perfect, dewy skin and an ethereal bronze eye, pictured left.

The perfect complexion was balanced with a more undone yet stronger eye in tarnished bronze tones, see the colour chart below.
