To a swingin’ doo-wop soundtrack, RUBY models walked out with a spring in their step in sweats, stripes and turquoise prints, all styled with woolen beanies and striking turquoise winged eyeshadow in their new range entitled ‘Mr Destiny.’
ghd hair stylist Michael Beel of Buoy in Wellington created the hair look for RUBY. They’re terming the look for autumn/winter 2013 "polished grunge" with its casual hair-down look. The RUBY girl is not high maintenance.
When she gets dressed, she wants to wear black and white geometric stripes, grey sweats emblazoned with ‘Mr Destiny’,
She wants to keep warm in winter with a faux fur stole over her shoulders, a grey beanie on her head, and in mohair sweaters in teal or peachy pink.
She likes shades of pale mint, rich burgundy. The RUBY is not afraid to mix n’ match clashing prints, with checks and geometric prints worn layered together. A favourite of hers is a leopard print in peach and grey spots.
On her feet, she wears RUBY’s silver tasselled flats or black leather heels teamed with over-the-knee black socks.
For night time glamour – still with her beanie on – she slips into a silvery lurex maxi dress.
