Thread did a Q and A with some fave designers, to give you a sneak peek pre-Fashion Week.
Here’s what Sarah-Jane Abraham and Esther Miro, designers of the fabulous swimwear label, Surface Too Deep, told Thread, and pictured left, is their inspiration image behind the AW13 collection about to be revealed at NZFW 2012.
* What’s in store from your new collection?
Directional prints combined with sweetly retro shapes that can be mix and matched for the perfect combo.
* Are you building on your signature look, or have you got some surprises up your sleeve for us this season?
Each collection is unique, surprises are always good.
* Who is the customer you are designing for this winter?
Fashion-conscious women who look for equal parts of style, comfort and originality in their swimwear.
Who’s in your team this season?
Esther Miro and Sarah-Jane Abraham are team Surface.
* Is there a song you were listening to that inspired this collection? Will you play it at the show?
Yes and yes, but you’ll have to wait to hear!
* Are you undertaking any collaborations in this collection with other artists or creatives?

Fresh and Simple.

Versatile.
