Urban Creative Presents Brady
NZ Fashion Week 22 September 2010

The opening show onsite at Day 2 of New Zealand Fashion Week saw familiar faces sit front row for the presentation of two Urban Creative labels; Brady, followed by Sable and Minx, both designed by Theresa Brady.

But not until a wee bit of seat swapping took place after a large number of General Admission attendees mistakenly planted themselves front row and began rifling through A-listers’ goodie bags.

The first model for Brady may have taken a fall on the runway but this was the only hiccup in an otherwise cohesive collection.

Heavy influences of a medieval inclination and a nod to 1970’s sophistication saw a warm palette of olive silk and khaki knit mixed with grey toned almost geometrical prints.

Stand out pieces were well tailored cigarette leg trousers, draped knit blazers and knit wear with delicate shoulder pleating details.

The simple yet thoughtful styling tied the collection together with skinny waist belts, layered hosiery and delicate wreath headbands just perfect for the love child within.
