This latest ‘ON MY DESK’ column looks at what’s new in perfumes in May 2016 from Juicy Couture, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, Britney Spears, Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds, and John Varvatos, with the freshest fragrances in each of these popular lines. Juicy Couture releases a rose floral called Viva La Rose; Elizabeth Arden has a new Green Tea fragrance celebrating the beautiful nectarine blossom; pop star Britney Spears brings us to Hawaii with her latest fragrance so say “aloha” to Maui Fantasy; Elizabeth Taylor celebrates 25 years of White Diamonds with White Diamonds Night; and for the men, fashion designer John Varvatos has another divinely-packaged aftershave for men called Artisan Blu.

VIVA LA JUICY ROSE
This is a fresh twist on the classic scent with a vivacious new playful side. The face of the playful-yet-glamorous new Juicy release is supermodel Candice Swanepoel, who captures the whimsical and sparkling personality of the fragrance. It opens with fresh fruity notes of Italian mandarin and william pear and jasmine; has a heart of rose de Mai, white peony and jasmine sambac; and base notes of ambrox, orris absolu and benzoin. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rose EDP Spray retails for $112 for 30ml – $195 for 100ml.
GREEN TEA NECTARINE BLOSSOM
This latest scent in Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea range moves away from the green bottle into a fresh and summery shade of orange with delicate blossoms on the bottle in a fruits fragrance. The top notes are fruits of peach and apricot, bergamot and exotic fruits; the heart is nectarine and florals, and the base is soft musk, combined to bring the wearer the feeling of biting into a juicy nectarine on a balmy summer’s day. Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Nectarine Blossom retails for EDT Spray 50ml $46, EDT spray 100ml $69 and Honey Drops Body Cream 250ml $42.
BRITNEY SPEARS MAUI FANTASY

John Varvatos Limited Edition Artisan Blu is a fresh scent with authentic roots, the herbal and citrusy notes of Artisan Blu result in a rich aquatic take on the previous Artisan and Artisan Acqua fragrances. The John Varvatos Limited Edition Artisan Blu EDT retails for $137 – $180.
WHITE DIAMONDS NIGHT BY ELIZABETH ARDEN
Elizabeth Taylor celebrates 25 years of White Diamonds – said to be one of the most successful scents of all time with over 1.5 billion dollars in sales – with White Diamonds Night. “You can never have enough diamonds” says Elizabeth Taylor and this also applied to White diamonds fragrances, with the modern, mysterious scent updated in White Diamonds Night. The beautiful new fragrance has top notes of bergamot and mandarin and apricot nectar, a heart of jasmine and freesia, and base notes of patchouli, sandalwood, velvet musks and golden balsams. The EDT spray retails for $89 for 100ml, 30ml for $39 and 50ml for $55, available at Farmers and selected pharmacies and department stores. White Diamonds Night.
