Thierry Mugler has taken a light hand to his classics Angel and Alien, recreating them in a light, new limited edition variation that freshens up the much-loved fragrances.
The new creations are called the Aqua Chic Collection, consisting of ANGEL Eau de Toilette Light and ALIEN Eau de Toilette Light.
They are fresh and stylish, using hydro-distillation or steam distillation whereby the perfume concentrate is refreshed with a tonic accord and diluted not with the usual water/alcohol blend, but with an alcohol/hydrosol blend. Hydrosol is residual water from the steam distillation process in which essential oil particles remain. It brings its own subtle perfume to the fragrance.
Cornflower water was chosen to refresh Angel for its slightly herbaceous note, and Ginger water for Alien for its spicy, invigorating dimension.
Angel Aqua Chic and Alien Aqua Chic are available for $140 from 9th July at pharmacies, department stores and perfumeries where Theirry Mugler is sold.
