Elizabeth Arden has a new Green Tea Honeysuckle, Thierry Mugler now offers its iconic Angel and Alien fragrances in a convenient Purse Spray size, and there are new celebrity fragrances from Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj also hitting shelves.
Green Tea is a popular, light and actually really affordable fragrance from the house of Elizabeth Arden. This season, they’re releasing Green Tea Honeysuckle as a warm and feminine new scent with floral notes of wild honeysuckle. It is said to evoke "nostalgic childhood memories of summer days spent sipping the sweet nectar from honeysuckle blossoms" and whilst I don’t have that memory personally I can’t deny it’s a pretty mental picture! The refreshing Green Tea scent is made sweet and warm with the addition of the floral honeysuckle, available in a Honey Drops Body Cream and EDT Spray 30ml, 50ml & 100ml and is very reasonably priced from only $39, on counter from 1 August 2013.
Not known as a shrinking violet, Nicki Minaj has followed up her debut fragrance Pink Friday with a special edition Pink Friday fragrance that again is in a striking and powerful-looking bottle. Her first fragrance, Pink Friday, actually ranked #2 out of all celebrity launches for 2012. It features a Gaultier-like corset body with a drawn on bra, and a golden face, and platinum white hair as the bottle cap. It has a top note of grapefruit, apple and raspberry, a heart of waterlily and honeysuckle and star jasmine, and a base of caramelised pear and sheer musk. The special edition will be available exclusively at Farmers and selected pharmacies and department stores from 12th August 2013. The EDT retails for $109 fo0r 100ml.
Another extremely popular celebrity fragrance offering is that of pop star Justin Bieber, with his flower-like Special Edition of Someday by Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber has lots of charm – quite literally – with a golden charm on the bottle that you can keep and wear afterwards. The scent has a top note of mandarin and pear with magnolia, a mid note of strawberry and mimosa with flower nectar, and a base of vanilla and sandalwood and creamy musk. Become a Belieber and get this new fragrance at Farmers, selected pharmacies and department stores from 22 July 2013 priced at just $49 for 30ml EDT spray.
I’ve often though Thierry Mugler’s iconic Angel and Alien fragrances are amongst the most visually stunning – and original – of all the perfume bottle designs. Mugler’s creations come in this handy 50ml size. They are a divine piece of glamour for any dressing table, and a beautiful gift for any woman – or to treat yourself. They only tricky thing is decideing whether you want the sexy Alien, or the innocent Angel. Perhaps both!
Get them now at department store beauty counters wherever Thierry Mugler is sold. Angel is $185 (50ml) and Alien retails for $162 (60ml).
