If the original was bling-tastic, the new special edition Couture Couture by Juicy Couture Eau de Parfum cuts a far more elegant figure, in a grown-up cut-crystal flagon reminiscent of an antique Faberge egg.
Ideal for women who love the fragrance but are looking for something less girly than the charm-embellished, Westwood-esque bottle, the egg-shaped flagon has beautiful metal bands with filigree detailing and a discreet logo on a brass coin on top. It’s a nice combination of contemporary fragrance in a vintage bottle.
So, what does Couture Couture smell like? It is a scent I found slightly sweet at first and then loved after the first ten minutes. It has a very sweet top grape note. This orange flower scent isn’t for shrinking violets.
Perfumer Honorine Blanc from Firmenich has developed the perfume with top notes of pink grape, orange flower and mandarin, a heart note of plum, honeysuckle and star jasmine, and back notes of sandalwood, amber and rich vanilla.
Smells sew good…the Couture Couture special edition, $99.00
Also available in a purse-perfect EDP Rollerball 7.4ml for $29.00
