New Zealand honey has earned a reputation for healing, with the many benefits of UMF® manuka honey proven by Waikato University, where it was discovered it supplies nutrients that activate and stimulate tissue regeneration.
“I always knew honey was full of goodness, but it wasn’t until our UMF® Manuka honey healed a wound on my 83-year-old mother’s ankle that I fully realised the amazing benefits honey has for the skin,” said Wendy, who with husband Neil owns the 60-year-old business Mossop’s Honey, based in Tauranga.
They use two NZ honeys: UMF® manuka honey, and the antioxidant-rich rewarewa honey, along with extra virgin olive oil and cold pressed flaxseed oil, in their 100% natural skincare range, Natruel.
Unlike these women, you don’t have to apply honey directly to get its benefits.
There are three ranges:
natruél’s age replenishing system for normal to dry skin rejuvenates with UMF® manuka honey and rewarewa honey, leaving skin soft and renewed by increasing skin cell growth.
natruél’s repair system supports the recovery of problem skin by regenerating damaged skin tissue and improving conditions such as acne and irritated skin. A high quantity of UMF®15+ manuka honey supplies the skin with anti-bacterial properties, helping reduce inflammation and scarring, along with propolis which assists tissue regeneration.
natruél’s lip, face, and body range contains either manuka honey or rewarewa honey. The lip balm, honey mask, and hand & body lotion are made up of unique ingredients to help maintain healthier lips, moisturise your face, and nourish your body.
natruél products contain no synthetic chemicals, emulsifiers, surfactants, stabilizers, thickeners or solvents. They have no petroleum-derived ingredients, no silicon, no artificial preservatives, no parabens, no artificial fragrances, colourants or genetically modified organisms, and are not animal-tested. In fact, they more than meet the strict European cosmetic standards of what constitutes “natural”.
