Kiehl’s celebrated opening a flagship store in Britomart with an apothecary-themed party with cocktails in test-tubes and conical flasks in bright colours as a nod to the pharmacy background of the 160-year old skincare brand.
Waitresses in lab coats and bow ties gave out canapes by chef Nick Honeyman, as the DJ played in the corner of the very tightly-packed store and camera bulbs clicked in every inch.
But the big surprise of the party was the arrival of some unusual guests – eight bikers on Harleys driving loudly into the Atrium. Everybody rushed outside to see the Harley Davidson riders pull up, revving their engines and headlights blazing. The use of Harleys was a reference to the bikes parked in the American store in the 1940s.
You can visit the Kiehl’s flagship store in Atrium on Takutai in Britomart Auckland.
