La Petite Robe Noire

French for ‘Little Black Dress’, Guerlain’s eau de perfum La Petite Robe Noire is perfectly chic and modern and like its fashion counterpart, will go everywhere stylishly…

If anyone knows who to do elegance, it’s the French.

After all, they invented chic.

Did you know Guerlain invented perfume for the masses? The French perfumery has a long and famous heritage.

French for ‘Little Black Dress’, Guerlain’s eau de perfum La Petite Robe Noire is perfectly chic and modern and like its fashion counterpart, will go everywhere stylishly.

Je’ adore the visual campaign imagery, with black pen illustrations of the La Petite Robe Noire girl in a little black dress dancing around Paris gaily, drawn by graphic illustrator duo Kuntzel+Deygas. It’s a refreshing change from a close-up of a celebrity face of a perfume brand, and brings a whimsy and charm and a youthful market to Guerlain which is often seen as a mature, luxury brand.

La Petite Robe Noire has notes of Tonka bean, vanilla, iris and patchouli.

La Petite Robe Noire retails for $110 for 30mls, $149 for 50ml, and $209 for 100ml from Smith & Caughey Queen St Auckland, Kirkcaldies & Stains Wellington, and Ballantynes Christchurch.
