We have a lot to thank Diane von Furstenberg for.
And by a lot, I mean The Wrap Dress.
Before you say that’s only one thing, consider that in fashion terms that’s an atom-splitting, gravity-defying, Eureka moment. Women were no longer longer constrained by zips, darts, and buckles- instead, they could throw on a wrap, go to work, the disco, to someone’s bedroom and throw it on again in the morning to go home. It was a symbol of feminism and was worn by strong women all over the world.
Now, with the apt slogan "Be the woman you want to be!" Diane von Furstenberg, or DVF as she’s known, has launched an eponymously-titled fragrance, Le Parfum Diane von Furstenberg.
The perfume’s two main ingredients are frangipani and violet flowers, with base notes of myrrh, musk and patchouli, created by perfumer Aurelien Guichard alongside Diane von Furstenberg.
The bottle recalls the golden rings of the Sutra bracelet she designed.
Eau de Parfum Diane von Furstenberg retails for $219 for 100ml, $168 for 50ml, and $178 for 100ml Eau de Toilette and $129 for 50ml Eau de Toilette from leading department stores nationwide.
