With edible and botanical ingredients such as mango, avocado and aloe vera, the new Garnier products launch on Thursday 7 April was a perfect fit for a cooking demonstration.

The newly opened Sachie’s Kitchen in Axis building, Parnell, was a great location for us to learn some Japanese cooking skills from owner Sachie Nomura.

We had the chance to hand-roll our own sushi – with mango, of course- and then watch Sachie make a teriyaki chicken that we all got to sample.

The Garnier products will be available for sale in New Zealand in May 2011. The Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine range ($10.19) is back by popular demand with a new frizz-fighting spray gun, Thermo Active Spray ($8.49.)

The Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Lotions ($8.99) contain L-Bifidus, a probiotic found in yoghurt, which helps optimise the skin’s natural moisture reserve, strengthening the skin’s protective barrier for longer lasting hydration.
