Dark may be hot in fashion, but it’s not when it comes to dark spots on your face. As we age, our complexions darken and that’s clearly not fashionable at all…
Fashion loves the dark side.
Twilight brought back Goth in a big way, and designers like Gareth Pugh embraces the dark, eerie and sinister. Here in New Zealand, we’re no stranger to dark fashion, with NOM*d, Zambesi, Jimmy d and more celebrating their darkest dreams.
Dark may be hot in fashion, but it’s not when it comes to dark spots on your face. As we age, our complexions darken and that’s clearly not fashionable at all.
To combat this, Clarins has developed Vital Light, an anti-dark spot concentrate to illuminate darkened complexions due to age. It adds a brightness to skin with incredible ingredients and a two-step action on melanin formation.
Interestingly, it claims a similar effect as hydroquinone – used in de-pigmentation products in the medical domain – without the side effects of hydroquinone.
Apply the serum once a day, either in the morning or evening, to face and neck. Use before or under your usual moisturizer. It is designed to be used in conjunction with the Clarins Vital Light Day and Night creams (read about them on Thread.co.nz here.)
Clarins Vital Light Serum retails for $155 and is available from 20th February 2012.
