Since discovering Oasis Beauty a couple of years ago with their BB Cream, we’re loving the cruelty-free New Zealand-made organic skincare range. Here are some products I’ve been trialling lately; Oasis Beauty Rhino Repair, Power Punch Facial Moisturiser, and Cream Cleanser.
Rhino Repair ($39.90) is a healing cream with a blend of 12 active natural and organic ingredients chosen for heir healing properties, including manuka honey UMF14, neem, aloe vera, rosehip, lavender, rosemary, chamomile, calendula, apricot kernel, echinacea, Vitamin E and castor. It is a one-step super cream that you may use on face, body, and children’s skin, for irritated skin, wound healing, and itchy skin relief. I was impressed to see you can even use it as a hair conditioning treatment – what a multi-tasker! It is easy to spread; I actually expected it to be thicker – perhaps like the consistency of Weleda Skinfood or a baby cream – so it is easier than I expected it to be, to spread and rub in, and absorbs readily. For all of these uses, it is great value, especially for family use from baby care to children’s care.
I’ve been applying this Power Punch Facial Moisturiser SPF25 daily under my foundation, and it’s my favourite of the Oasis Beauty products I tried. I am often quite sensitive to the first thing I apply on my face in the morning, and have been pleasantly surprised at how calming and mild this feels. It is really hydrating and soothing on the skin. It’s easy to apply foundation over the top, without it clugging up, too. I like the high SPF factor of 25 for sun protection. Like all Oasis Beauty products, this is free of mineral oil, phthlates, sulphates, nano-particles and animal products except honey, and is animal-cruelty-free. It uses a potent blend of botanical oils to moisturise, and uses non-nano physical sunscreen zinc oxide for sun protection. It retails for $39.90 for 50ml.
Also for sensitive skins, is Oasis Beauty’s Cream Cleanser with shea butter. It felt nourishing and extremely gentle. The pump bottle was easy to use and dispense the right amount, and felt clean without stripping the skin. $32.50 for 150ml pump bottle.
