This is exciting as I’ve been enjoying products with Argan Oil since discovering Moroccan Oil two years ago.

Now, a New Zealand company, API Consumer Brands – a manufacturer of healthcare, pharmaceuticals and toiletries based at the former Elizabeth Arden factory in Manukau – has just launched a skincare range to the market that contains argan oil as its core ingredient, with a Moorish pun along the Moroccan theme, entitled MOREISH.

“Argan oil is already known as an ingredient that nourishes and hydrates hair. Now it can do the same for your skin. It protects skin elasticity, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes,” says MOREISH Brand Manager, Emma Duncan.

Thread likes that it also contains New Zealand oils and plant extracts including Pohutukawa extracts, and antioxidants from kiwifruit skins and grape seeds, which help to brighten the skin, reduce redness and improve elasticity. It contains no parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic colours or synthetic fragrances, have recyclable packaging, and are not tested on animals.

There are fifteen products in the facial skincare range and I tried the salvation balm ($24.99) which I used on my albows and soles of my feet and my hands, and also on my daughter’s skin. You can use the pure argan oil ($34.99) on your face, body, or hair – what a multi-tasker!

MOREISH is available from selected pharmacies nationwide, including: Amcal, Unichem, and Care Chemist, as well as both in store and online from Radius Pharmacy and Life Pharmacy. See www.moreishskincare.com for more info.
