Getting bored of the same old nail polishes, or tired of having to sit in the salon while your nails are delicately painted with fancy art?

Well look no further than Verdo Nails in the heart of Parnell Village. Verdo Nails is a stockist of the exciting new product, SheeKee Nails.

SheeKee Nails is a nail wrap product created in America by Nickole Orton. A salon-only brand, SheeKee is a heat-applied sticker and comes in an array of wild and wonderful colours. Heated until flimsy, the sticker is molded onto the nail, wrapped on, heated again, pulled tight and excess filed off.

The application of either a manicure or pedicure takes between 30 –60mins depending on whether you are choosing one design or a more customized look where you can mix and match designs on your fingers therefore taking a little longer for application.

A great alternative to typical nail art application, SheeKee lasts for approximately 6-8 weeks on toenails and between 5-12 days on fingernails. For longer lasting nails you can always opt for an overlay and gel which can increase the longevity to about 2 weeks.

“These nails are about a good time, not a long time.” Amber says. “Great for a special occasion.”

Amber took over the salon 15 months ago and since then she has steadily grown her business. Originally starting out as a hairdresser then spending several years in the corporate world, she decided to throw in her high flying career for a more creative role. So when the opportunity came up for the salon in Parnell, she jumped on it.

A manicure and pedicure will set you back $60 and Verdo is open Tuesday through to Saturday with late nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

You will find another similar product on the shelves, as OPI has recently come out with a nail apps product however these are just stickers and will only last around 2 days.
