Oil skin

I was interested to see that Clarins has released its face and body treatment oils to the public. The oils have been in use since 1965 at the Parisian Clarins Institute. Now, they are available as home treatment oils in Blue Orchid, Santal and Lotus…

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to experience an Indian Head Massage, a treatment traditionally known as Champissage, on the upper back, shoulders, neck and scalp, you’ll know how its use of essential oils can improve blood flow, nourish the scalp and induce a deep sense of calm.

With this in mind, I was so pleased to see that Clarins has released its face and body treatment oils to the public. The oils have been in use professionally since 1965 at the Parisian Clarins Institute. Now, they are available as home treatment oils in Blue Orchid, Santal and Lotus and the oils remain unchanged with just an eye dropper added for convenience.

Each has contains 100% pure plant extracts combined to give both skincare qualities (phytotherapy), and fragrance (aromatherapy.)
I’m currently wearing the Santal one (pictured top left) which has sandalwood and lavendar oil. It’s aimed at dry skin and/or redness. The Blue Orchid Face treatment Oil (below) which contains patchouli essential oil, targets dehydrated skin and loss of tone.

The Lotus Face Treatment Oil (below) is designed for oily skin – which to many may seem surprising given that it’s an oil but it purifies and rebalances the skin’s oil. It contains essential oils of rosemary, chamomile and geranium.

Clarins Face Treatment Oils retail for $60 from Clarins counters.
