The first Sofitel So Spa in the Pacific celebrated its opening with Colin Mathura-Jeffree opening champagne sabrage with a sword…
The first Sofitel So Spa in the Pacific was launched this week right here in Auckland, at the Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour.
The spa celebrated its opening with a VIP party on Thursday 29th August with a tour of the treatment rooms, wine and cheese, and desserts. Colin Mathura-Jeffree did the honours of the ribbon cutting and champagne sabrage (cutting the cork off with a sword!) and declaring So Spa open.
Taking its cue from French restaurants (the Sofitel chain is French and staff greet you with "Bonjour" when you enter) treatments are listed under ‘Starters’, ‘Mains’, ‘Specials’ and ‘Desserts’ … but they are all fat-free!
They like to cater for the individual’s needs. “With the understanding that each guest is unique, wellness programmes should not be a one-size-fits-all approach,” said Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour’s So Spa manager Nadia McCracken.
Along with the French theme, skincare used includes the famous French brand THÉMAÉ, alongside international skincare brands including botanical organic range Plantogen. There are a total of six treatment rooms, including a dedicated beauty suite.
