The process is not what I would call pleasant, however bearing in mind that you are having tiny needles injected into your face, it really isn’t as bad as it sounds and I was so astonished at the youthful appearance gazing back at me…
I have turned 46 recently and am going through the change, as they say. I notice my skin isn’t as tight as past days, and my confidence has really taken a hit at the rapid change in my skin.
Over the last month I have been getting Restylane Vital Light treatments. I have had two and am getting my third one in a couple of weeks.
The procedure itself could be viewed as painful however the specialists at Clinic 42 are so professional and very personable and I felt totally at ease as soon as I walked in.
Walking into Clinic 42 in Epsom, you realise straight away you are in very good hands. The specialist, Dr. Joanna Romanowska, is a lovely woman and I felt really at ease. The process is not what I would call pleasant, however bearing in mind that you are having tiny needles injected into your face, it really isn’t as bad as it sounds.
They ask you to arrive an hour before your treatment starts in order to have the topical anesthetic cream applied and give it time to numb the areas on your face that will be injected. The next step, on the first time I went, was the consultation in which the doctor draws a diagram on the areas on your face that she feels need hydrating the most. Mine was a little under my eyes, above my upper lip and my cheeks.
I had never had this treatment before and didn’t really know how immediate and fabulous the results would be. Because the injections can be painful in the lip area, Joanna injected some local anesthetic into my mouth to numb it some more. The injection process took half an hour or so and was really not as bad as I thought it would be pain-wise.
Dr. Joanna Romanowska put the mirror up to me at the end and I was so astonished at the youthful appearance gazing back at me! After the first treatment I noticed results straight away. My skin looked really youthful; what a lovely surprise!
After the second treatment I felt even better and my confidence has been really boosted.
Restylane Vital Light is a hydrating process and it absolutely works and stays that way for months after, only improving as time goes by. I am sold on the idea and will most definitely save up for regular treatments. I have one treatment left but I am hooked now!
