Outfit post – what I’m wearing Spring 2015

For Spring, we see such a variety of weather here in Auckland. I’m favouring jumpsuits with an extra layer over the top – often a cape or something easy – and for running around in, a nice flat sneaker that looks nice and is comfortable to wear.

My jumpsuit is the grid jumpsuit by Boohoo which you order online at boohoo.co.nz and bam! It arrives before you know it.

I am in love with these silver wing earrings from Zoe & Morgan, who do a very extensive range of divine earrings, necklaces, and rings as well as fine jewellery for engagements and weddings. You can view them instore at City Works Depot Auckland and online at www.zoeandmorgan.com

I got these time piece socks from the current summer 2015 collection at Karen Walker in The Department Store. Speaking of Karen Walker, ThreadNZ.com (well, my journalist on the ground in NYC, my hairstylist, Kelly Manu from Blazehair.com) will be attending her New York fashion show so look out for our runway report coming soon.

My jacket is by Issey Miyake which I bought in Tokyo on my visit to Japan in May this year. You can see my travel highlights of Tokyo here.

My ring is a new-season reversible black/white ring from Kagi jewellery www.kagi.net.nz  and my black felt hat is from French Connection in Osborne Street Newmarket.

My tortoiseshell Prada eyewear is a great, classic shape and they are handmade, so they are beautiful quality, and last and last. I got them from OPSM www.opsm.co.nz

These new Soft7 shoes from Scandinavian brand Ecco are drop-dead gorgeous to look at and to wear. They have buttery-soft leather and cool styling. I think it’s important to have a shoe that’s properly designed for your foot structure to give you proper support if you’re on your feet a lot. Obviously, they look awesome, too. They have an inlay sole that you can remove if you want the shoe wider inside, and I also like that they are made from full-grain leather as opposed to split leather (leather split to make two thin thicknesses to cut costs) like some brands. Available at Ecco shoes for $319 for women’s hi-tops, and $329 for men’s. See www.eccoshoes.co.nz for stockist info.
