OUTFIT POST: What I’ve Been Wearing In February 2020

Come check out Morsel cafe at 16 Durham Lane Auckland (right behind CityLife Hotel) for delish baking by Leah Garcia-Purves and Allpress coffee, open Monday through Friday 7am to 2pm. @morsel.akl

A great fun girls’ night out at the movies with Michiko and her mum, and my daughter, to see Jane Austen’s EMMA. We seemed to coordinate, in my Karen Walker dress with her burgundy tones as well. Emma is a glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, and just as relevant today as when it was written. The actors are fantastic and the costumes are a visual feast. See Emma Movie starring Anya Taylor Joy in cinemas from Feb 13. Perfect for Valentine’s movie dates or to take the girls or your mum and daughter to. Loved it.

Wearing pink dress by Asos under black tulle overdress by Mochanso, shoes by United Nude, jewellery and watch by Olivia Burton London (gifted).

Bag by Ted Baker London (gifted)

Wearing dress by Asos, bag by Ted Baker, watch and earrings by Olivia Burton.

Such a beautiful day today, and I saw this beauty of a bike outside church. I’m wearing a blouse by Endless Rose I got secondhand, and vintage Lee overalls, with a suede bag by Deadly Ponies.

A lovely Valentine’s Day hamper of treats from Karen Murrell Lipsticks. I’m wearing a white safari suit-style jumpsuit by Boohoo (gifted) and tan laceups by Kathryn Wilson.

I’m wearing a dress I sewed myself, and vintage Dior bag.

Coming at you live from the Mediterranean. *actually the North Shore, so similar- boats, pasta, icecream. Country road floral viscose blouse is recycled fashion from yesterday’s secondhand sale at @everlasting_recyclingwithlove charity clothing sale. They have another one tomorrow, see their page for info.

Under the Bridge, Northcote Point. Wearing a nautical jumpsuit by Anthropologie, trainers by Keds, ruffle top Witchery, scarf Karen Walker.

Wearing Trelise Cooper, at Highwic House, on Gillies Avenue in Newmarket built in 1862, now a reminder of early Auckland right next to modern Auckland with the new Newmarket Westfield right beside it. I played at being Lady of the manor and fulfilled all my Downton Abbey fantasies on a private viewing of the house, while there for the @weledanz brunch in the beautiful gardens. The gardens are free and the house entry is $10. I was trying to imagine life there, with servants, no electricity. What would they think of life today? It’s also funny that the owner was called Buckland, as that’s what my phone always autocorrects Auckland to.
See you next month!
