Here are my favourite picks from today at Parachute Festival for Thread.co.nz Street Style. I was lucky enough to catch up with Jane de Jong (AKA Ruby Frost) in a fabulous silver sequin mini…
Weather is a bit overcast today but I’m hoping to get to the dodgeball tournament this afternoon. I’m really looking forward to seeing both Avalanche City and Ruby Frost today – as they are both my favourites.
I missed out on seeing Seasons yesterday which is a real pity, but I loved seeing The Almost and Reliant K on the Mainstage last night. The crowd and the atmosphere were amazing.
The Parachute app has been fantastic for working out who is playing where and at what time. It has links to the artist bios and their music. Check it out at the itunes store. It is free to download.
Here are my favourite picks from today…
I was lucky enough to catch up with Jane de Jong (AKA Ruby Frost) in a fabulous silver sequin mini, a band tee, and Jeffrey Campbell shoes. I love her hair! I want my hair like that when I finally turn 16 and my mother lets me colour it. Her drummer Jimmy Mac was looking quite cool too!
This it Cheri Crum and I loved her black and white shirt that came from Valley Girls.
Katherine Lee and Brya Pilbrow both had vintage denim jackets. I loved their whole overall casual look, not to mention Brya’s boots too.
Stacey Adeane had a cute dotty dress from Cotton On, two toned brogues from No1 shoes, and her hat is from Smoove. She didn’t want to have her photo taken, so she would only let me if her eyes were closed!
There girls looked so good. Anna Novak had on a cute outfit from Valley Girl, Amelie Bottrill is dressed all in vintage and Lucille Taggart is in a pretty Valley Girl dress.
Miriam May had a gorgeous vintage jacket, a dress she got overseas, and her gorgeous shoes are from Mi Piaci. Other than Ruby Frost, she was my favourite for the day.
This bunch of girls just looked like they were having a great time together… (from left) Kim Classen had cute tights from Glassons, Jasmin Fernyhough’s shorts are from Wild Pair, Emma Nygard had a cardigan from Lippy and skirt from Cotton On. Finally Kayla Conwell-Grant was wearing everything from Glassons.
This is my outfit got the day – the 50’s inspired dress is from Glassons (I am really liking cobalt blue at the moment), the jacket is from The Warehouse and of course the boots are DMs (as always)! I’m such a Doc Marten’s ambassador for sure.
Madeleine over and out.
