Even if the weather’s temperamental, the stylish city dwellers remain constant. Heading into Autumn, you don’t want to be still in flip flops, so the lace-up flat shoe and masculine brogue are the hot ticket.
I have always had a secret fancy for 90’s grunge.
There’s always an It-girl who is inspired by this era: Alice Dellal and Taylor Momsen to name but two.
Unfortunately I know I will never be able to pull off this look as effortlessly as this girl. She combines the staple grunge items – checked shirt around her waist, oversized t-shirt, denim and a pair of high-top Converse completes her look.
Tara, a uni student wears a dress she made herself with Topshop brogues. I love bows, and in this case the bigger the better. Her brogues and cream socks combo made this outfit simply adorable.
While having coffee that same day, I spied this long haired beauty looking simply elegant wearing a Zambesi Man shirt and a Ruby dress. I love her mix of textures and shock of bright yellow bracelets.
As I waited for the pedestrian lights at the top of Queen Street, I spotted Eleanor Barker, a recent graduate. She wears a Glassons top and Forever New skirt. Eleanor embraces both the camel and maxi trend and makes it her own with a vintage kangaroo bag, stacked bracelets and a bowler hat.
I couldn’t just walk past this girl and not ask her for a picture, she looked glam and sexy in her animal print mini dress, studded handbag and suede heels. Her sheer black waistcoat softens her tough-luxe look.
