I am starting the school holidays off well, with a trip aboard Celebrity Cruise liner Celebrity Solstice for facials and massages while the luxury liner is in Auckland on Sunday. I met the other media and our hosts for the day, Pauline and Keely of Dock Street Group, on Princes Wharf and we boarded with our passports as though we were actually headed off overseas. I wish! This is like another world on here that we got a glimpse of for the day. This is by far the flashest cruise boat I have ever been on; you forget you’re about aboard at all when you’re inside as it’s like a floating 5* hotel with restaurants, pools, a spa, hospital, dental clinics, and entertainment. I can see how people go on multiple cruises now if they can afford it as it feels like you are physically and mentally removed from ‘real life’ and all your day0to-day stresses don’t touch you here.

In the above photo, you get an idea of the scale of the liner next to Hilton Auckland.
Once inside, this is the view from the glass-fronted elevators, of the library reading room underneath the pool deck.
Above: I’m on deck and wearing a nautically-inspired jumpsuit for the occasion.
Hand-painted murals decorating a corridor.
Inside the BLU restaurant.
Mosiac-tiled spa pools and swimming pools on deck.
Quite happy to stay on board and cruise. Relaxing pool-side on recliners, with the gorgeous Erin Simpson. Just need cocktails and bikinis.
Next up was our pampering experience in the day spa, with a facial and massage, which was heavenly.
But wait there’s more. Feeling all zen we headed up to eat an INCREDIBLE lunch at Japanese restaurant Sushi On Five, with Dan of dannews, NZHViva, Erin Simpson, and Pauline and Keely of Dock Street Group.
After lunch I had no choice but to return to dry land as apparently stowaways aren’t really permitted sadly. I hope one day to get the chance to cruise aboard, now I’ve had a taster of the real thing. Let me know if you’ve done a cruise.

I was a guest for the day aboard. This is not sponsored, and all opinions are my own.
