UGG boots have sometimes had a bit of a bad rap, maligned by the less-than-stylish wearing them with too much skin and lingerie showing at once. But UGG have had a fashion renaissance. Vogue has featured them, along with many other fashion titles, espousing their style-meets-comfort good looks and casual chic sensibility.
I’ve been wearing my Classic Cardy knitted boots from UGG Australia practically everywhere this week.
I’ve kept a visual diary of how UGGs can go almost everywhere; to the salon, to the spa, out shopping definitely, they look good at the odd fashion event and of course are in their absolute element relaxing around home. Just perhaps not at a black tie event…
Introducing Classic Cardy, a chunky knitted UGG Australia boot with three large logo buttons and a suede heel.
I like that you can wear them up to the knee, or folded in half.
And, with great attention to detail, the buttons look just as good on the inside.
Style tip: As they are knit and not leather you can see your jeans bunching around the ankle so I tucked my hems into my socks for a smooth line.
I also noted that they stayed up well when worn over jeans but over tights they slip down with a cool slouchy effect.

Out op shopping in UGGs.
So this has been a super comfortable week, ironically right before the Week of Heels and Pain known as NZ Fashion Week. Maybe I should wear my UGGs…
