If you’re not familiar with the brand, it’s a family-owned business that began in 1963, with design that – like most Scandinavian design from architecture to furniture to fashion – encompasses form, function and simplicity.
The result of holding this combination together in their design principles? Shoes that look good…but feel even better on.
Below: the biker boots in black.
It was pretty much all about the boot when I went instore at Milford ECCO last week; from ankle booties to just-below-the-knee. Everything was in genuine leather and beautifully crafted, reflected in the prices which are around the $400 mark, but you know will last for years to come.
A classic example of a classic boot is the ECCO Jersey ($449) which has a slight equestrian nod to it and lovely autumnal shades of rust and brown.
And if you want a bit of height but still want lots of stability then the wedge – a trend in footwear that will not leave the building- is perfect for you.
The Shiver Wedge come in a high version at $449 and a lower ankle boot version at $349, that the shop assistant told me cannot stay on the shelves. Every woman who tries it on just instantly adores it.
Not a boot – but a very cool shoe that may be the lovechild of the boat shoe and the sneaker – the leather flat Essence ($449) is perhaps the most hip of the styles instore.
We can see it on young girls with chunky socks and a cute blazer, or by itself with shorts in summer.

ECCO shoes are especially super during pregnancy, when comfortable footwear is an absolute must, but are perfect for anyone, anytime!
